Aftercad Announces Beta Program Signup for the Aftercad Online CAD Publishing System

VANCOUVER, BC - July 16, 2008 - Aftercad Software, a division of Meggabyte Software Inc., is pleased to announce that it started the Beta Signup Program for its Aftercad Online (ACO) platform that allows businesses to view, mark-up, manage and publish large and complex CAD and GIS data files onto the web, without the need for proprietary viewers.

This, according to Aftercad CEO Chris Boothroyd, "Is a breakthrough as ACO frees up billions of files of CAD data that can now easily be shared by anyone with just a browser. We feel the time has come for CAD to join Web 2.0 and others in the media have called it the ’Democratization of CAD’ This tells you something about the enormous potential this product has for large, medium but indeed also small businesses and other organizations"

ACO uses a straightforward Software-as-a-Service ('SaaS') model where users only pay for space and features they use without having to pay prohibitive client side licenses which has been the standard in CAD viewing software to date. This model allows an array of different users to sharply reduce their costs and significantly enhance their ROI. Boothroyd adds: "We have already received feedback from early users as to what ACO can potentially do for their workflow management, the efficiencies we are bringing to any organization are endless"

The ACO launch is closed with a number of key clients, but a Public Beta will launch on August 1 for which registration takes place on the ACO website.
